Gartenbau-Versicherung VVaG is expanding its coverage for plastics in greenhouses.
In addition to the previous time value regulation, businesses can now choose between new value regulation or improved time value regulation under certain conditions. This can reduce potential coverage gaps that may arise from time value regulation in the event of a claim. As a result, businesses benefit from even more comprehensive protection.
“Time value regulation does not always cover the full costs of new purchases. This can present major financial challenges for businesses. That is why we have developed an economically viable alternative solution,” explains David Mittendorf from the product development team at Gartenbau-Versicherung.
The following options are now available to members under certain conditions:
- For rigid plastic sheets, complete new value regulation is possible. Additionally, new value regulation can be chosen for other greenhouse plastics, such as energy screens or table coverings.
- For film roof coverings, there is improved time value regulation: within the warranty period of the respective films, claims are settled at new value; thereafter at time value.
A prerequisite for both options is an on-site risk assessment. Additionally, the chosen regulation always applies to the entire greenhouse facility and cannot be limited to individual greenhouses. New value settlement only occurs if the damaged equipment is actually repaired or rebuilt.
