“A++/Excellent” – this is the outstanding overall assessment with which Gartenbau-Versicherung has been recognized in the latest Assekurata rating. It reflects the company’s strong financial security, exceptional customer orientation, and market attractiveness. For the first time, the evaluation also incorporated feedback from international members.
Gartenbau-Versicherung received top marks in three out of four subcategories: Security, Customer Orientation, and Growth/Market Attractiveness. The “Success” category was once again rated as “good.” This is consistent with the business model of a mutual insurance association: the focus is not on profit maximization, but on best meeting the needs of its members. Furthermore, the specialist insurer’s business is significantly shaped by the handling of claims from natural hazards.
The rating results show that Gartenbau-Versicherung was able to further strengthen its financial position in 2024: the solvency ratio rose to an excellent level, and both equity capital and reserves were sustainably increased. Its outstanding customer orientation is reflected, among other things, in the high customer loyalty and willingness to recommend the company. The aforementioned member survey revealed that in Germany, 94.9% of respondents would choose Gartenbau-Versicherung exclusively. International figures are 91.7% in France, 83.3% in Switzerland, and 79.8% in Italy. Across all markets, more than 96% of customers would recommend the company.
In terms of Growth/Market Attractiveness, the rating experts highlight, among other things, the overall 7.3% increase in premium income in 2024 and the company’s high level of horticultural expertise, which distinguishes its sales, risk management, claims handling, and product development.
